The City Traffic Police (CTO) will launch a hectic campaign against those Motor Cyclists who do not use helmet during driving and this campaign will start from December 10, said Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Sardar Muhammad Asif Khan. The CTO urged the citizens to wear helmet during Motor Cycle driving and also force their other family members to strictly observe this restriction in their own interest.

The CTO said that the Motor Cyclists have been allowed 5 days to purchase helmets till December 9 and added that after the expiry of this date, those found not wearing helmet will be challaned and their Motor Cycles will be impounded, under Traffic Violation Code-19. However, on first violation, they will be imposed a fine of rupees 200 only but in case they continue violating this Traffic Rule, their Motor Cycles will be impounded.
